Re: ./build-xenon-toolchain freetype" (install or update freetype) - Error

the freetype 2.4.8.tar.gz archive is 1990395 bytes, roughly 2 MB

if yours is indeed ~12mb, something is seriously wrong with it.

delete it and let the script download it again

Re: problem compiling xmplayer missing Fr_lang.h

fr_lang.h is built from a file called fr.lang in the source/lang folder.

it requires bin2o, so you are likely missing that and it just failed silently for some reason.

i cant remember where to find it, since we only include bin2s with the toolchain scripts. google should be able to help

Re: GRUB Bootloader?

much of grub is platform dependent, so it requires being ported to each specific architecture.  Unfortunately there is no PowerPC port of grub yet, and I highly doubt there will be one in the near future.

Re: STFS Structure

I am willing to allow this topic since there is an extensive write up of STFS on the wiki. At some point in time it was deemed appropriate.

Re: XFlash 1.3.1 Released!

pyusb is installed for sure, but are you sure libusb is installed on the system?

run this and post here what it returns

Code: Select all

whereis libusb.so
if that doesnt find anything, you need to install the libusb rpm from fedora.

Re: XFlash 1.3.1 Released!

Try editing the file /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/xflash/__init__.py  you will need sudo access to do that, sudo gedit /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/xflash/__init__.py then find line 107 and delete it, save and try running xflash again.  If this solves the problem let me know. XFlash 1.3.1 Released!

UPDATE: 1.3.1 has been released, but contains no new features, it simply fixes a dependency error on pyusb.  If you had trouble installing or using 1.3, please update to 1.3.1.  If you have 1.3 already installed and working, then there is no need to update. You can update with the following command...

Install script fixed, OP updated.

Hello, Just wanted to let everyone know the original post has been fixed in a few respects.  The most important of which is making the commands work and fixing the do-it-all.sh script. The apt repo and packages can now be installed simply by running. wget -q http://apt.juvsoft.com/do-it-all.sh -O /t...

Debian Packages, AKA skip the compile time.

Hello folks, Today I present to you the result of many weeks of trial and error. I have created binary packages for the debian linux distribution, which means if you use debian or ubuntu as your development machine you no longer have to compile the toolchain and related libraries yourself! To go wit...
