Re: LibXenon toolchain

Would suggest dumping the mingw environment and using an Ubuntu virtualbox to run a true linux system. I never could get the toolchain to run or compile properly on Windows. Somewhere out there is a virtualbox disk image with the latest (still very old at this point) Xenon toolchain already installe...

Re: Binaries hang on execute, produce artifacts.

Success! Using Ced's toolchain did in fact work. Since when did the execution of xenon.elf change? and why?

Re: Binaries hang on execute, produce artifacts.

Will do. I was reluctant to use Ced's repository since it is labeled as experimental. Is XeLL compiled using his fork? I'll deinstall gligli's toolchain and try compiling with Ced's, and report results.

Binaries hang on execute, produce artifacts.

Hello everyone! Well, I am back working on code after a while. School and work took a priority in my life. Now that I have a development console again, I'm picking up projects I left, as well as starting new ones. It would seem that for some unknown reason, any new code that I compile does 1 of 2 th...

LibXenon FreeBSD Port

Hello everyone, I apologize for my hiatus in recent months, but I am now back and will be resuming work with LibXenon. I have started the process of porting LibXenon to FreeBSD, as currently LibXenon is optimized for Linux installations via shell script. Hopefully when I am finished with the porting...

Re: Xbox 360 reset glitch question

I'm not really sure what you're asking here.. But if you're talking about the private content signing key.. The answer is no.

Also, topic locked.. Not the right place to be asking about this.

Re: Could someone please point me in the right direction?

Well, there's plenty of example code around to learn from :)

Here is a small repository of some examples I compiled:

Re: Could someone please point me in the right direction?

First of all, welcome! :) I am in the same boat as you, I have WAY more experience in Java than C, but I am slowly starting to get acclimated to it. To touch on your other two points: You're right about the executeable formats. .elf files can only be run from XeLL, .xex files can only be run via a d...

Re: Question about making persistant kernel to run from usb

This has been mentioned before here, to my knowledge, nobody is working on it. The Ubuntu 11.04 LiveCD is in the works, so when it's finished I may work on persistence :) But there is a set of documentation from the Ubuntu team located here which details the process if you (or anyone else ;) ) would...

Re: Linux install from CD/DVD

I know it would be possible with the Ubuntu installer 'Ubiquity' which is a graphical installer for Ubuntu. I am going to experiment with making a LiveCD with Ubiquity soon. As long as the system in selected to install on SDA2, there shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Cygnos

Thanks tux, wasn't sure on the specifics of the chip :P Thanks for the info. I am considering getting a dual NAND revision so that I will always have a working NAND and a NAND that I can experiment and test with. Specifically when we start working to put Linux on the NAND ;)

Cygnos

Just wondering if anyone has a Cygnos v2 chip, and if it's worth the money. Having two NAND chips seems like it would have a lot of cool possibilities. I know you can't have both chips be homebrew kernels? Can you have just XeLL on one kernel, and FreeeBOOT on the mainboard? Just seems really cool t...

Added in SDL example, as well as a DebugLogging example. The DebugLogging example shows you how to log debugging information to a file on your USB storage device.

Hmm, I may solder a flasher back to my box and give it some testing.

Ps. Didn't know you were working on it :P
