reset glitch

hi all i hope someone can help i need to retrieve my dvd key from my mobo board as ive deleted it from my dvd drive, ive been told that the only way to do this is by reset glitch ive been reading up about how to do this but am finding it quite daunting and was wondering if theres anyone in the essex area who can do it as i would really like to get back to gaming thanks all in advance
